Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hoop Sprout ("Hoop Sprout," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit hoop-sprout.com or register to receive our coaching information, updates, and marketing offers. By registering, you agree to the practices described here.
1.Information we collect
When you complete our registration form, we collect the information you provide directly, which includes:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Mailing address — street address, city, state, and ZIP code
- Consent records — the fact that you checked the consent box, plus the date, time, and the page/version of the consent language you agreed to
We also automatically collect limited technical data when you use our site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and general analytics about how pages are used. We do not ask for or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through this form.
2.How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Send you the youth-coaching information, updates, and marketing offers from Hoop Sprout and our marketing partners that you consented to receive — by email, phone call, and text message, including messages sent using automated technology and/or prerecorded messages;
- Operate our double opt-in process, including sending you a verification link to confirm your registration before any marketing messages are sent;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- Maintain records of your consent as required by law (see Section 4); and
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues, and comply with our legal obligations.
3.Sharing your information with marketing partners
This is a marketing and affiliate registration. When you check the consent box on our registration form, you agree that we may share the contact information you provide — your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address — with our marketing partners so that they may contact you about relevant products and services, for the purposes you consented to.
We share your contact data with marketing partners only for the marketing purposes you consented to at signup. Our marketing partners may include youth-sports brands, equipment and apparel sellers, camps and clinics, local activity providers, and the advertising and lead-management vendors who help deliver these offers to you.
We may also share information with service providers who process data on our behalf (such as email/SMS delivery, hosting, and analytics providers), and where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Hoop Sprout, our users, or others. We do not sell information about anyone we know to be under 18.
4.TCPA consent records & retention
To document the consent you provide under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws, we retain records of your marketing consent — including your name, the email and phone number you provided, the consent language shown, and the date and time you agreed — for at least five (5) years after the consent is given or after your last interaction with us, whichever is later.
We keep these consent records even if you later opt out, because we may need them to demonstrate that consent was properly obtained. Other personal information is retained only for as long as needed to provide our services, satisfy the purposes described in this policy, and meet our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
5.Your choices & how to opt out
You are always in control of the messages you receive:
- Email: click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
- Phone calls: tell us during any call, or email us, to be placed on our internal do-not-call list.
- Everything: email privacy@hoop-sprout.com to ask us to stop all marketing contact.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Opting out of marketing will not affect your ability to use our site or contact us for support. Note that partners who already received your information before you opted out may have their own privacy practices; you may need to opt out with them directly as well.
6.Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you the right to:
- Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (including our retention of consent records described in Section 4);
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Because we share your contact data with marketing partners for their own marketing, this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, and you have the right to opt out; and
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@hoop-sprout.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or use any opt-out method in Section 5. You may also submit a request through an authorized agent. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
7.Children & under-18 exclusion
Hoop Sprout's registration is for parents and guardians who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Please do not submit a minor's information through the registration form.
Although we coach young athletes, the marketing registration described in this policy collects information only from the adult who signs up. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact privacy@hoop-sprout.com and we will delete it promptly.
8.How we protect your information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access — including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to review our practices regularly.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of our site or services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
